Housing Project Planned on Poudre

"FORT COLLINS — A $15 million affordable housing project for seniors that will overlook the Cache la Poudre has won city council approval after having run into stiff resistance from environmentalists.
The Legacy Senior Residences project is the second this year proposed for the River Downtown Redevelopment district, an area north of Old Town Fort Collins marked off by the city as an area ripe for redevelopment. Developments within the district are exempt from a 300-foot river development buffer imposed in most of the rest of the city as an incentive to build there."
In the past year Cornerstone Associates has opened new senior residential developments in: Fort Collins, Colorado, Cheyenne, Wyoming and Olathe, Kansas. The projects were warmly received by each community, with all achieving close to 100% occupancy in their first weeks of operation.
Next up for Cornerstone are eight prospective new developments: senior residences in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Wyoming, and family residences in Nebraska and Oklahoma.

A number of organizations participated in helping bring this new community to Fort Collins, addressing a critical need for affordable housing for seniors in the area."
140 Unit Downtown Kansas City Project Awarded Tax Abatement

"Cornerstone Associates LLC, plans to develop the 140-unit project on vacant ground at 531 Grand Blvd. It will include five floors of studio through two-bedroom units on top of a two-story, 140-space parking pedestal.
Plans call for 10,000 square feet of street-level retail on the Grand Boulevard side of the pedestal and an outdoor swimming pool on part of the parking structure's roof. Other amenities will include a club room, fitness center and private apartment balconies."

531 Grand is a mixed use development in Downtown Kansas City Missouri featuring 140 luxury apartment units, 10,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space, garage parking, resort style amenities including an elevated pool, patio, clubroom, fitness center, and amazing skyline views.
The project is located in the River Market area of KC and is one block from the newly completed streetcar line. Construction is scheduled to be completed in December 2017.
